Never A Victim
When we were children, it naturally felt like life was happening to us, and we had little or no choice. There is truth and reality to that.
But as we grow up, we have more and more choice...not always about what is happening, but more about how we respond to what is happening. And then we learn that we can make things happen!
That's when we begin to step from the feeling of victim to the
experience of conscious creator.
- This is an ongoing part of our experience in life. Things are happening, in us and all around us, all of the time.
- A lot of what happens is, or seems to be, out of our control, which can, if you let it, continue to feed into your feeling of being a victim.
- Feeling like a victim can generate a lot of anger!
- When you say to yourself, "This is happening. What can I do about it? What choices do I have? How can I make it better?" everything begins to change.
It is natural to seek solutions outside
yourself, and that can sometimes be very helpful. But don't forget to look within yourself, to seek insight and guidance from your own internal brilliance and wisdom.
Think of it this way...
Every moment of every day, you are either thinking and feeling as a victim, or as a conscious creator.
