Make The Most Of It
One of the biggest causes of anger is when things don't turn out like we wanted or expected them to.
This happens to everyone.
The question is, how are you going to respond when it happens to you?
- Unhealthy anger is like saying,
"Okay, I don't like this. This is a problem. So I think I'll make it worse."
- When you use your brilliant mind and good heart to say to yourself, "Okay, that didn't work out as planned. What am I left with, and what unexpected good might come from this? You are optimizing your circumstances...practicing
Goodfinding."
- Back up from the small picture of disappointment, and expand your focus to the big picture, and you'll always see openings and opportunities.
- Making the most of your situation does not mean settling for abusive or unhealthy relationships, it means trusting that there is always something good out there for you, if you simply breathe, relax, and look for it.
- Whatever is happening, make the most of it!
The practice of Goodfinding will help you to keep your mind nimble and open enough to find the good, no matter what.
Think of it this way...
When things don't work out as planned, it may mean there is something far better in store for you.
