From Fear To Excitement
You may not know this, or you may not want to admit it, but there is fear underlying all anger Anger comes when you feel threatened, and fear in response to threat is instinctive.
Therefore, when you deal with the underlying fear, the anger dissipates. And we're going to take a totally new approach to fear in this newsletter.
Here are some guidelines for your journey from fear to excitement:
- Physiologically, anger and fear are almost identical, as reported in this article from Harvard Business School. The difference is what is going on in your mind.
- When you shift mentally to focus on positive perspectives about what lies ahead, (any positive possibility will do), you have made the shift from fear to excitement, and possibly toward enthusiasm.
- This helps you to activate the powerhouse of positive emotions, which are far healthier for you than fear and anger.
- Think of it like an athlete who is pivoting on the field or court, to rapidly change directions. When you pivot from fear to excitement, you are shifting from a destructive direction to a productive
Think of it this way...
Everything you fear has a gift in store for you. Use your brilliant mind to find the gifts ahead, and move toward them with enthusiasm.
Your anger might make you feel stronger, but true strength comes when you claim the power of your mind to activate your good
Accept this challenge to transform every problem or threat into an opportunity for growth and expansion. You can do this!
