The Problem With Protection
The purpose of protection is to create safety..
However, there is no absolute safety in this world.
As a result, many people get stuck in a constant protective posture, always striving for the unattainable absolute safety.
- Protection is motivation and justification for most of the violence and destructive anger displayed in our world.
- So if protection is problematic, what do we do in this world that is legitimately uncertain and so often threatening?
- You can easily shift from fear-based protection to strength-based skill building for expanded power.
- It is not a huge leap to shift from protection to building strength, but it is a small step that makes a very big difference.
- There are significant limits to your ability to create safety, but your ability to build strength and skill are unlimited.
Instead of letting your fear mind dominate your mind, focus daily on building your assets of skill,
strength, and knowledge and watch your effectivenss and success soar.
Think of it this way...
Protection and fear diminish you, while strength and skill expand who and how you are in this world.
