The Anger Stressed Me

by Steven
(Yucaipa)

Feeling stressed, angry, freaked out. I just want to erase the negative energy and replace it with positive happy energy. Make me a better person than I have been. I want to get back the woman and family that I love so much. I don't want to be miserable any more, and I don't want to push her away--I feel like that is happening.

Sometimes I wake up and the first thing I want to do is call her or text her, but I need to give her space and be patient.

My chest has been tight and tense for days, but today it's not as bad. Later, and in the following days it will get even better. I'm going to be alright. I just have to be strong for myself and the others around me. God, this sucks so bad sometimes. But it needs to be done and followed through. Any advice is greatly welcome.

Hello Steven, and thanks for writing your story here. I can tell you are very motivated right now, and that will help me to help you.

You are wise to give her space, and to focus on creating positive happy energy. I strongly encourage you to do the following:

1) Practice these anger management techniques every day, over and over, until you can do them all without a problem. If you want even more help with this, you can get an anger management techniques CD program on this page, or get a free Ebook when you sign up for our free Healing Anger newsletter.

2) Here's the part that will help you the most! Practice the journaling techniques you will find on this page every day, and you will definitely start feeling better.

3) You probably also have some unresolved trauma in your own past. If so, and you're really serious about getting better, practice these imagery processes for emotional healing and it will greatly help you in every aspect of your life.

It is great that you're starting to feel better, and that you're optimistic about feeling even better in the future. In the above referenced journaling exercises, you will find some positive journaling processes, and I strongly encourage you to use them on a regular basis.

You're a good man, Steven. Work toward forgiving yourself and others, and that will also help you greatly.
