I Need Help Fixing My Other Side
by Monica
(CA)
My name is Monica. I am 20 years old, and I don't understand how I can get so angry from one minute to the next. My anger really comes out more towards my family.
I always thought that it was because they knew how to push my buttons, but lately it feels like I am always just so angry all of the time.
I started realizing that I may need help, but what really makes me want the help is standing outside that bedroom door, hearing the rest of my family talk about what a horrible person I've become in these past few months. Please feel free to comment.
Response from Dr. DeFooreHello Monica, and thanks for telling your story here. Although you may not know what they are, you have good reasons for your anger. Anger does not show up out of the blue, or for no good reason. If you do everything I recommend, you will begin to find the "story" behind your anger, and by telling that story (in a journaling process...no one else needs to know unless you want to share), you will begin to heal.
The other exercises will continue your healing process.
You will find all of the steps you need to take on
this page.
You are a good person, Monica, and that's why you don't like all of this anger. As you heal, your anger will heal as well, and you will feel much better. But you have to do the work, and use the tools.
You can do this. Believe in the goodness of your heart.
My very best to you,
Dr. DeFoore
