I Have A Short Fuse
by Bubba
(Georgia)
I often notice that I get mad at just about everyone for just any little thing. For example if someone asks me more than 2 questions back to back I get angry at them.
I don't know why I'm this way, I guess because I don't like to talk a lot. Or if someone talks a lot when I am with them it aggravates me.
I am not sure what my problem is, but I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions to this.
Response from Dr. DeFooreHello Bubba, and thanks for telling your story here. There are good reasons for your anger, even though you don't know what it is. If you do the writing exercise recommended
on this page, it may help you discover those reasons. Either way, it will help.
In addition to that, I strongly encourage you to do each exercise on this
FAQ page. Each process will take you deeper into yourself. Make up your mind to get to know who you really are inside, Bubba. I think you'll like who you find there.
You are not a bad person. You are a good person, who has been hurt, and that's where your anger comes from. And there may be parts of you inside that are afraid. It will help you learn about
nurturing your inner child, as a form of emotional healing.
Believe in yourself, and the goodness of your heart.
My very best to you,
Dr. DeFoore
